Writing a good personal statement is not usually easy, but it doesn't have to be overwhelming.
I've guided hundreds of students through each stage of the essay writing process -- from the first brainstorm to the final edit. My expertise is connecting with young people to help them synthesize the experiences and qualities that make them unique.

My experience stems from the seven years I worked at Stanford University’s Office of Global Scholarships. As manager and head advisor, I met one-on-one with students as they planned, wrote and revised their application essays. Because I've seen the application process from both sides, I understand what makes an essay stand out.

I use a Socratic method of advising to help them create a personal statement that is true to who they are AND presents them in a way that stands out to admissions officers
I won't write it for them, but we will work together to find the most compelling way to express their unique personality and dreams
